Martinsville Maine screen house

Maine vacation rentals

I have lived year around in Martinsville for 30+ years. Before moving here I summered in Port Clyde, Tenants Harbor, and the Owls Head area. I recently bought a small house in Thomaston village to live in during the winter months. Through the years I have spent a lot of time on off shore islands for both work and pleasure. This includes private islands as well as Vinalhaven, North Haven and Islesboro. I would say that I initiated the first vacation rental business in this area, starting with my family houses and my friends' properties. This grew into a substantial business. Because of that work I have gotten to know almost every water-front property in the area! Truly!

I have the experience and expertise to represent buyers and sellers of all types of properties — in particular water front and ocean front properties. I have been working not only in "my home towns" of Port Clyde, Tenants Harbor, Vinalhaven but every town from Waldoboro to Deer Isle. I have worked with clients who purchase and develop investment properties and helped with renovation projects as well people who want to relocate to this area. I have worked with many families as they work through the process of making decisions about the places they may have inherited and which they now own.

I was one of the founders of the Georges River Land Trust. Through this work and education in the land conservation field, I have the knowledge to work with land owners and their attorneys, who may be interested in various aspects of land conservation and land protection options. I can help with land-planning issues, various land-conservation options, and family lands.

I was born and raised in New Orleans. I received my B.A. at Denver University, and my Juris Doctorate, law degree, from Tulane University. As mentioned above I was a founder of the Georges River Land Trust, the Georges Highland Path, and the Maine Women's Fund. For many years I was on the board of Natural Resources Council of Maine. Currently, I volunteer for New Hope for Women and also as a Board Development advisor for non-profits.

I love to be outside, almost year around! I love to hike, garden and spend time with my 3 dogs. Right now I introduce them as a Springer and two Cajuns. I am in the process of offering my outdoor furnishing designs to the market. I look forward to sharing my love of Maine and vast experience of Maine real estate with buyer and selling clients, old and new.
